What we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We are a small, owner-operated business. We collect as little as we can get away with, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
This website is operated by M W Cudmore Marine Electronics Pty Ltd (ABN 81 071 502 415), trading as MWC Hydraulic Controller, of 472 Sapphire Coast Dr, Tura Beach NSW 2548. If you have a question about this policy or about information we hold, contact us on 0427 260 443 or at cudmoremw@hotmail.com.
If you fill in the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect the details you type into it: your name, email address, phone number and your message. That is the only information you actively give us, and the form is the only place on this site where we ask for it.
Like nearly every website, our server also records basic technical information each time a page is requested, including your IP address, browser type and the page you looked at. We use this to keep the site running and to understand roughly how many people visit.
We use your enquiry details to answer your enquiry, quote on a controller, and follow up about it. That is all. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we will not add you to a mailing list off the back of an enquiry.
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and reports to us in aggregate, so we see visitor numbers and popular pages rather than individuals. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine either way.
We also load our typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads.
Enquiries sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by SMTP2GO, an email delivery service, and a copy goes to the web developer who maintains this site so they can confirm the form is working. Nobody else receives it. We may disclose information if we are required to by law.
We keep enquiry emails for as long as they are commercially useful, which for a product with a twenty-year service life can be a while. If you would rather we did not, ask us and we will delete your details.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email cudmoremw@hotmail.com and we will sort it out. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page. This version applies from July 2026.
