The MWC CONTROLLER allows precision operation of longline drums and winches.

It controls Danfoss PVG 32 and PVG 120 Hydraulic Proportional Valves. Designed for the fishing industry, the controller allows precision operation over hydraulic longline drums, winches and cranes. It can be applied to any hydraulic application where Danfoss PVG 32 and PVG 120 are installed and fine adjustment of operation is desired.

The CONTROLLER can be used as an alternative to the Danfoss PVREL joystick - chosen by skippers and engineers who want a dedicated, marine-grade control surface in place of a generic input device.

Installation kit

8 m of 4-core flex cable, a junction box with black DIN connector for the PVG valve, and a DC power input rated 12 - 24 V. Plug-and-play onto an existing Danfoss valve. Custom cable lengths available on request.

Mounting

Handheld or panel mount.

The controller is supplied as a handheld unit with a length of cable to suit your install - wheelhouse, deck position or remote operating point. A panel-mount version is also available, with the cable exiting the unit through a gland for a flush wheelhouse fit.

I have been using the MWC Hydraulic Controllers for over 15 years to control the Danfoss PVG 32 hydraulic valve that drives the longline drum on my fishing boat “Tahnee B”. In our fishing operations, it is required that we start, stop and accurately set and adjust speed of our winch for “shooting away” and “winching in.” The MWC controller has proven to be effective, longlasting and reliable. It allows myself and the crew optimum control of speed and direction of our drum to maximise our fishing catch.
